Volunteer Job Description
 
Being a Switchboard Volunteer is a challenging and rewarding experience! Aside from the gratification that comes from helping callers in need and being a part of your community, there is the additional fulfillment in being a part of a cohesive group of like-minded people.

Volunteers assist callers requesting help or information on:
  • Referrals to GLBT Organizations & GLBT Friendly Businesses
  • Coming Out Issues
  • Suicide Prevention
  • Sexual Assault
  • Intimate Partner Violence
  • Hate Crimes
  • HIV Counseling/Case Management
  • Chemical Dependency Treatment
  • General Therapy Referrals
