Montrose Counseling Center, Inc./Gay & Lesbian Switchboard Houston offers free listings on this site for GLBT-dedicated or GLBT-affirming nonprofit organizations operating within in the Houston metropolitan area.*

Listings of for-profit businesses are not offered at this time.

For the purposes of this site, “nonprofit organizations” are defined as businesses or organizations registered with the IRS under articles 501(c)(3), (4), (6) and (7); as well as non-registered organizations that have a clear not-for-profit purpose and are not directly affiliated with or a for-profit business/businesses.  Groups organized through web services such as Yahoo!Groups and MeetUp must have a current, active schedule and verifiable contact information in addition to above criteria.  Non-registered organizations are listed at the discretion of the site administrator.

Approved listings are published with the organization’s name (with website link if provided), organization description, one telephone number (if provided) and one email address (if provided).  Addresses are not published unless included in the organization description. To limit third parties from harvesting email addresses for their own purposes, all published email addresses have ” [at] ” in place of the @ character.

At least one current method of contact (email or telephone) is required for listing approval and maintenance.

Though the administrator of this site may attempt to verify the information submitted, Montrose Counseling Center, Inc./Gay & Lesbian Switchboard Houston is not responsible for accuracy of the listings as published, including contact information, organization names, descriptions, and hyperlinks.

Montrose Counseling Center, Inc./Gay & Lesbian Switchboard Houston reserves the right to edit or delete listings without reason or notice.

*Certain government agencies and departments, though not necessarily GLBT-dedicated or GLBT-affirming, may be listed at the discretion of the site administrator based upon importance and relevance.

Searching/Viewing

Website usage may be monitored by other persons in your home or workplace.  It may not possible to completely clear a computer of information. If you feel that knowledge of you viewing this site would disrupt your privacy or place you in danger, please do so only from a safe computer.
